Good to see the International Rules Test v Australia still takes place each year, that was one of the most interesting matches I have ever seen on TV. They really should push that harder

Hey all. Didn't know tgere was a gaa page. I'm curious what your views are on the cries for a championship rejig and a possible end to the provincial structure.
{Ed004's Note - I prefer the current system however I also thought the black card would be a bad idea though}

I just don't like the way things are going. Only Munster hurling seems truly competitive. My main issue is the 2 and out system in place. I just don't think it does much for fans of the lesser counties. Perhaps another back door championship similar to the ones that exists in hurling could be an idea. Or at least a group stage format

What do you think of the black card Ed004? Personally on paper it sounds like a good concept but when implemented it is very harsh especially as it is all down to each referees different interpretation of a cynical foul. Then there is the usual tendency for GAA refs to 'level things out' over the course of a game. Sometimes a mistimed challenge can appear cynical and this grey are will lead to problems.
{Ed004's Note - I was completely against it at the start but it has worked well most times I have seen it. However, I completely understand why people worry about it. It makes it easier for the ref to dictate the outcome of games}

Thats the one fear Ed! Can it ruining a close All-Ireland at some stage too. Do you see the Dubs running away with it this year? Maybe a surprise from Roscommon?(Thats a joke its my home county, good young crop of players coming through though. Evans not a very popular manager back home with the players)
{Ed004's Note - I reckon Dublin will win it however I don't think they will run away with it. I haven't seen enough football atm to judge who will be there biggest competitors.}

Kerry and Kilkenny to do the double in the next couple of weeks!
Be better for both codes if it's Donegal and Tipp...but we'll see
